Rochester, N.Y. -- The Bombers improved to 3-2 with a win at Rochester, winning all three doubles matches to provide the margin of victory. Freshman Elizabeth Cohen (Chelmsford/Chelmsford, Mass.), junior Katie Dempsey (Catonsville/Baltimore, Md.) and sophomore Megan Keenan (Palmyra Macedon/Macedon) were double winners for Ithaca. Cohen won at fourth singles and teamed with Melissa Walsh (Western Wayne/Ariel, Pa.) for a second-doubles win. Dempsey and Keenan, who won at fifth and sixth singles, respectively, posted a super-tiebreaker win at third doubles (Dempsey’s singles win featured a 12-10 tiebreak win as she rallied from a set down). Junior Narguess Arjomand (Second Baptist/Houston, Texas) and sophomore Erin Chapman (Queensbury/Queensbury) teamed for a win at first doubles.
